1960s Idol PA-13 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar (MIJ)
A short lived brand started by ex-Teisco employees, Idol was one of the brands to arise out of the Teisco buyout of 1967. Idol, Honey, and Firstman guitars all arose from this era, and all disappeared rather quickly. All these guitar names shared similar qualities and all are still highly regarded in Japan. The PA-13 is a semi-hollow (block under the bridge) jazz style guitar with a 25" scale, maple neck with a soft V profile and dual humbuckers. This particular PA-13 is in incredibly good condition for it's age, all original with no cracks, breaks or repairs.
We've just given it a full fret level, crown and polish and it's playing like absolute butter. We've also installed a Switchcraft jack socket and given it a full service with 10-46s. The frets have loads of life left and the guitar sounds incredible.
