1979 Heerby Explorer (Hamer Standard Copy)
An immensely rare model from the late 70s Heerby catalog, this Explorer style guitar was manufactured by Kasuga Musical Instruments in 1979 and features a solid mahogany body with an insanely flamey solid maple cap. Specifically, this is Heerby's interpretation of a Hamer Standard, which was Hamer's interpretation of a Gibson Explorer. The most notable design change from Gibson to Hamer was the lack of pickguard to show off the intense tops these guitars always had, and this one has an absolutely insane top! The mahogany body is flaunting some pretty sweet grain on the back side too. Dual Maxon PAF style humbuckers, 24.75" scale length and a super comfy medium D neck profile tie this beautiful instrument together, the frets are original and have loads of life left in them and the guitar plays like absolute melted butter.
Just had a full professional service, this guitar is in insanely good condition for it's age being all original aside from a new Switchcraft jack socket and chrome jack plate. Running 10-46s with a slick action, this guitar needs to be seen and heard to be believed. The craftsmanship and playability of this axe is second to none. Comes with a non-original gig bag.
