As an engineer at the Gibson Custom Shop, Tim Shaw was appointed the job of recreating the golden era of PAF humbuckers in the early 1980s for use in Gibson guitars, following feedback that the "PAF" clones manufactured in the 1970s were pretty far off the mark. The result was the Tim Shaw PAT NO. humbucker you see before you, manufactured for a short time between 1980-1986. These are often considered some of the most accurate PAF clones available.

In all original and unrestored condition. Solder joints are untouched so rest assured no one has been in there before. The chrome plating is somewhat tarnished and swirled, however there is no pitting in any of the plating. Original stamps are still very legible on the underside of the pickup. Pickup reading is 7.48kOhms and is very healthy. Braided wire is slightly loose around base plate entry, but as we are leaving this pickup unrestored we are not resolving this issue (although easily addressed). Does not include original springs or screws.
