Guyatone EB-1 Mosrite Style Bass Short Scale 1960s
Made in Japan in the late 1960s, the Guyatone EB-1 is a (very) short scale bass drawing heavily on design cues from the Mosrite guitar company. Measuring just 24.75" (yes, shorter than a Strat) from nut to saddle, this is certainly a bass built for smaller hands or someone who likes the feeling of very tiny bass guitars. Lacquer checked and aged to absolute perfection, this pocket rocket plays very nimbly and has a nice comfortable action with a straight neck. Featuring it's original embossed knobs and oversized bridge cover, the body has classic contours with a deep German carve top. Despite it's short scale it feels very nicely proportioned in the hands.
Professionally setup with 45100s, we've installed 2 new pots and a USA Switchcraft output jack to keep your tone rock solid. Price is reflective of a small issue which is the pickup is reading healthily however the output is a little lower than normal. These normally go for $1k+ in good condition so grab a bargain!
