1983 Aria Pro II ZZ Custom Explorer (MIJ)
Made in Matsumoku in 1983, the ZZ Custom is a Gibson Explorer that's lived through the 60s and 70s era of rock and roll and is now sporting hairspray and spandex in attempt to hide it's age. Bright, sparkly blue-burst finish, Floating tremolo and all gold hardware mean this guitar is far from understated in the most 80s way possible.
This one has certainly been used and well loved, but for a good reason. She plays like butter with a perfectly straight neck and very little fret wear, however the finish has seen better days and has quite a few chips and scars on the corners and a few surface cracks. On the plus side, these have been professionally inspected and are purely cosmetic! So if you're not too fussed about some natural relic'ing you can grab yourself an 80s Japanese made bargain. Professionally setup with 10-46s and a new Switchcraft output jack, the guitar is all original otherwise and features MMK-45 humbuckers for a big bold sound that isn't afraid to get dirty when pushed at high gain. Missing it's overly complicated locking nut setup, which we don't think you'll miss.
