Early 70s Guyatone/Teisco Precision Style Bass (MIJ)
A punkalicious P bass from the early 70s, this rock and roll machine has even rebelled against it's parent company and shed all badging and identifying marks, making it slightly difficult to identify! Luckily we know what to look for with these sorts of instruments, so we place this one somewhere in the early 70s and at the Matsumoku manufacturing plant, likely being badged as a Guyatone or Teisco on the production line. This one has plnety of punk vibes with a few extra holes here and there, a grafted piece of pickguard and replaced screws, as well as a finish that is flaking off in more than one area!
Sporting it's original vintage Maxon single coil pickup for plenty of clangy bright tones, we've given it a professional service and setup with 45-100s and upgraded the jack socket to a USA Switchcraft one to keep your tone rock solid. The bass itself is a solid player with a great action, no dead spots and a sweet vintage road worn vibe. Comes with a gig bag!
