Greco Flying V 1975
Made in Japan in 1975, the Greco Flying V is a faithful recreation of the Gibson Flying V which originally debuted in 1958. This one sports a gorgeous cherry red finish over a mahogany pancake body and 3 piece neck. That's right, she's all solid mahogany tip to tail.
This one is far from showroom condition there's no denying it, but it oozes vintage vibe for days and you don't have to worry too much about whipping it out at your next punk gig. It's got some gnarly chips and dents, the bridge pickup has been replaced with a vintage DiMarzio USA pickup (exact model unknown), and she's been routed a little under the pickguard. Someone has also conveniently etched a date from 1975 on the back of the guitar which has helped us in dating the instrument. These go for nearly $2k in neat condition so the modifications are reflected in the price. We’ve installed a new pickguard, Alpha pots, 22AWG vintage cloth wiring and a new switch and jack socket to ensure solid signal. Fully set up with 10-46s. At the end of the day it's a rock solid guitar in player's grade condition - a real bargain. Comes with it's original case!
