Zenon Audition Offset Style Gold Foil Guitar (MIJ)
A super sweet little offset from late 60s Japan, these existed under a few different names and guises, as was common for budget guitars of the 60s. This particular one sports a "Zenon" badge on the headstock, a subsidiary or model that there is very little info on. So we'll just tell you about the guitar!
The design of this guitar is extremely eye-catching and has that whole future-retro vibe going for it, which is super sweet. Very lightweight at 2.6kg but feels very balanced in the hand and sports a full 25.5" scale length with an absolute railroad sleeper of a neck. This one has a very unique albeit archaic tremolo system, if you install an arm it could potentionally provide hours of fun that's for sure! A dual set of the very desirable Japanese gold foil copies (unfortunately the bridge pickup is not functioning but the neck sounds amazing) drive the sound of the guitar and we've just installed fresh wiring, new pots and some new pickguard screws to keep everything solid signal wise!
Just had a setup with 10-46s, she's playing like a dream and will fulfil all your fantasies if you like a big chunky neck!
