Yamaha DX7
A beautifully maintained, original example of the most famous FM synthesizer in the world, the Yamaha DX7 was immediately a classic synthesizer with its iconic FM sound, intuitive programmability with MIDI capability and its rock solid, tank-like construction. A favourite of popular bands of the 80s such as Depeche Mode, Beastie Boys and Herbie Hancock, the DX7 possessed a glassy, crisp and clear digital tone that stood in stark contrast to the analog, voltage controlled synthesizers of the time. This proved to be a sound that defined the decade of the 1980s.
This particular unit is in very good condition - there’s barely any signs of play wear at all. The keybed seems as if it has barely been touched and all buttons and programs work perfectly. There is a small split in one of the plastic side panels shown in the photographs. Please note this unit is 100V AC. Includes Japanese soft carry bag.
