2001 Yamaha SGV-300 Flying Samurai (Rare, Discontinued)
Based heavily on the illustrious design of the Yamaha SG-5A from the 1960s, The SGV-300 is a modern reissue of the classic design, made in Taiwan. These are now discontinued so a rare bird indeed! 2001 marks the first year of production for these reissues and the quality and attention to detail is outstanding. They really captured the essence of the 1960s Flying Samurais and it is certainly difficult to differentiate from the originals.
This one is in very good condition for it's age. It's fair to say this thing has been played and enjoyed, however the wear is honest and apart from a few dents and swirls in the finish this guitar is in great nick. Frets have virtually no wear on them, the candy apple red finish features a deep sparkle and the guitar plays and functions perfectly. It features it's original Yamaha single coil and humbucker setup with master volume, tone and a pickup blend as well as a 3 way switch for maximum control. The pickups have a wonderful chime to them with plenty of frequency response. It's been freshly setup with a nice low action. Ships with its original gig bag.
