Late 1960s Guyatone LG-85T Red Vintage Japanese Electric Guitar

A super sweet, compact axe birthed in late 1960s Japan, this Guyatone LG-85T is packed with vintage tone and has that perfect 60s aesthetic to boot! The ideal candidate for a 1960s surf rock band, the dakota red finish is deep and vibrant, the headstock is large and comical, and the sound of the original pickups is rich and sparkly with plenty of frequency range.

Equipped with an extremely chunky D shaped maple neck, this guitar is for fans of thick, hand carved necks and short scale lengths, as the rosewood board measures a suitably small 24" scale length (think Fender Mustang territory), so if you love the feel of vintage student model guitars, this guitar definitely has that vibe. Frets are on the small side but have loads of life left at about 90% fret life, which is impressive for a guitar of this age.

The original goldfoils are the star of the show here, showcasing absolutely beautiful low output goodness perfect for a wide range of styles. With a tone that sits somewhere between a single coil and humbucker sound, these pickups have a truly unique tone to them that can open up a world of tonal possibilities when run through amps and effects!

In 100% original and fantastic condition for its age, this guitar has been professionally serviced and setup with 10-46s. It's playing very nicely with a smooth, low action and a nice straight neck. The finish has aged beautifully with plenty of lacquer checking throughout, and the guitar has its fair share of dings, dents and scratches due to age. Overall, the guitar presents very nicely and is a real pocket rocket of a vintage axe. Comes with a gig bag!
