Made in Corona, California in 2009 as the predecessor to the American Special series, the Highway One series was designed to give players an affordable access point into USA-made Fenders with unique design features and finishes. This particular example presents in excellent condition and features medium jumbo frets, a large 70s style headstock and satin nitrocellulose finish. The satin nitrocellulose finish allows the alder body to resonate freely, delivering crisp, glossy tones and maximum sustain thanks to the three vintage style single coil Strat pickups. A three-ply white pickguard maintains the classic Strat look, whilst the vintage style synchronized tremolo allows you to bend notes or entire chords up or down with ease, without creating the tuning problems inherent in other designs.

Equipped with a full scale maple neck, it sports a modern "C" profile with a semi-gloss finish for smooth playability and the rosewood fingerboard is loaded with medium jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius for modern playability and great note-bending range. Fret life is solid with virtually no wear or pitting visible and approximately 90% fret life left.

The original single coil pickups are present here These pickups are Alnico V and provide bright, clear highs and a pronounced midrange with plenty of vintage character. Known for their higher output and punchier response compared to their Alnico II or III counterparts, Alnico V pickups deliver a tighter, more focused low end, a pronounced and slightly scooped midrange, and bright, sparkling highs with a bit more bite. This makes them well-suited for cutting through a mix, especially in live or high-gain settings.

In excellent condition for its age, this Highway One Strat is all original and free from any significant wear and tear, with only a few minor dings and scratches here and there. The satin nitrocellulose finish is in great shape and offers a really unique finish and look to the guitar. Professionally setup with 10-46s, it's playing like absolute butter with a straight neck and perfect intonation.
