Released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the all-time classic but elusive Fender Swinger, the 2019 edition Japanese made Swinger was headed up by Japanese guitarist Yoshio Nomura who decided to reissue the model with slightly differing specs from the original and in 5 special colours: Black, Burgundy Mist Metallic, Dakota Red, Olympic White and Sonic Blue. The one-pickup, short-scale budget model, produced for a short time in 1969 out of surplus inventory parts from the Fender Bass V and Musicmaster, disappeared almost immediately and was never promoted in Fender literature (though it has been used by artists like Ben Kweller and the Talking Heads’ Tina Weymouth).
Featuring a 24" scale length, 22 medium frets and a hardtail bridge, the Swinger is a no nonsense rock machine with quirky and unique design elements that really set it apart from the crowd! The short scale rosewood fingerboard offers a slinky feel for those fond of Mustang and Jaguar necks, and the narrow nut width makes it perfect for power chords or those with smaller hands.
In great used condition with only a few minor dings here and there, the guitar is all original apart from a swapped neck pickup to a slightly higher output Alnico single coil. Frets are solid and virtually unplayed at 99% fret life and the guitar has been professionally serviced and setup with 10-46s. Comes with its original gig bag!

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 are a flat $8.99 shipping rate. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!
How long does shipping take?
It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:
For "Standard" shipping:
- VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
- QLD: 3-5 days
- NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
- VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
- QLD: 1-2 days
