1970s Greco TB-400
One of the rarest basses ever produced by Kanda Shokai Corporation, the Greco TB-400 shares many traits of the classic Precision Bass design, however it sports a rare factory appointment of a Telecaster style headstock, making it a stylish and eye-catching instrument indeed. Made in the Matsumoku factory in the early 1970s, it features a red hot split coil pickup reading 10.4kOhms, old school "Gneco" block letter caligraphy, 3 tone sunburst finish and a rock solid maple neck with maple cap.
In great condition for it's age, a few dings and finish chips are present on the instrument, as well as the following tasteful upgrades; 4 x new Gotoh Japan heavy duty saddles, 2 x new Alpha pots & jack socket with vintage style wiring (the original P pickup and tone cap sounds amazing through this fresh wiring setup), 2 x new chrome control knobs. These upgrades were necessary and ensure a seamless, strong signal flow and smooth control over volume and tone. It's playing slick with a set of 45100s and a fresh setup. Seriously, this thing plays and sounds absolutely incredible. Comes with it's original heavy duty leather soft case.
