1970s Yamaha SA-2000 Semi-Hollow Natural (MIJ) (w/ OHSC)

A series from 1970s Yamaha Japan that can promptly eat any ES-335 for breakfast, the SA series (for Super-Axe) was a long-lived guitar line from Yamaha and are some of the finest semi-hollow archtop guitars on the Japanese market. Made from 1966-1994 in various models and iterations, this is a top of the line SA-2000 which features beautifully figured birch and beech laminates to create the deeply arched body with a solid centre block construction to keep things rock solid when you're rocking out.

Gibson 24.75" scale length with a nice wide 43mm nut to get around your favourite jazz chords, it has a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard with luxurious binding across the entire guitar, engraved brass hardware and a stunning natural finish. 2 classic original Yamaha humbuckers supply big jazz and rock tones.

Professionally setup and serviced with 10-46s, this SA-2000 has a nice low action with no dead spots and a nice straight neck. Condition is exceptional for its age, however some moderate to heavy pitting and brass detirioration is visible across all the hardware. This is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect playability or tone. Comes with it's super rare original hard shell case!
