1977 Greco Electric Bass
Get classic 70s P Bass tone without 70s P Bass pricing! Made by Kanda Shokai Corporation, the Greco Electric Bass shares many traits of the classic Precision Bass design and has killer vintage tone that will give any Fender a run for its money! This one was made in the Matsumoku factory in 1977 and features a red hot split coil pickup reading 10.6kOhms, old school "Gneco" block letter caligraphy, black nitrocellulose finish and a rock solid maple neck with maple cap.
In good condition for it's age, this bass has certainly been well loved and has significant play wear on the neck (down to the wood in some spots) and a fair amounto of dings and scratches on the body. The original split coil pickup is healthy and we've installed 2 x new Alpha pots & Switchcraft jack socket with vintage style wiring (the original P pickup and tone cap sounds amazing through this fresh wiring setup). These upgrades were necessary and ensure a seamless, strong signal flow and smooth control over volume and tone. It's playing slick with a set of 45100s and a fresh setup. Comes with a soft case.
