1977 Greco Super Sounds SE-500 Stratocaster (MIJ)

Made in the first full year of Fujigen production for Greco, this SE-500 is an outstanding example of early Greco-Fujigen collaboration and features a (very) aged white finish, 3 original Maxon single coils and a big chunky headstock with all the 70s styling and appointments you could want. All for less than the price of a modern Mexican Fender! The single coils have a strong, chimey and clear output, the neck is perfectly worn in and has a nice D shaped profile verging on a soft V for those that like that sort of thing. This is the perfect Strat for someone wanting their first taste of vintage without breaking the bank.

This guitar has obviously been played and loved a lot since the 1970s and Lord knows if it could talk it would have some stories to tell! The neck has been played so much it is down to bare wood in some spots and there are nice finger grooves in the rosewood slab board. The frets are quite low, however there is good note articulation up and down the neck and playability is good so we've left it original.

It has been fully dismantled and rebuilt with every inch cleaned and all rust and corrosion removed. It's all original aside from a new USA output jack and 6 new block saddles. Professionally set up with 10-46s.
