1977 Greco TE-500 Telecaster Thinline Spacey Sounds
Made in the peak of the pre-Fender Fujigen golden age, this is another exceptional guitar from Greco and is testament to why Fender and Gibson were shaking in their boots at the quality of these guitars coming out of Japan. Sandwich laminated sen ash body, maple neck and incredible sounding Maxon WRHB style humbuckers. This guitar can cover a wide array of musical genres with ease, all whilst dripping in vintage 70s charm.
This guitar has certainly been loved and played over the years, and for good reason. The guitar has an incredible sound and feel and that perfect vintage magic that will keep you playing for hours on end. All original aside from a new Switchcraft jack socket, new switch tip and changed knobs. The pots, pickups and wiring are in great condition. The body and neck show reasonable signs of playwear but all is honest. The finish is literally peeling off the back of the neck from being played so much, if that's your thing! Frets are low but definitely playable and articulate with no dead spots or buzzy notes. Freshly setup and serviced with 10-46s, the neck is nice and straight and truss rod is very responsive.
