Made by the legendary Fujigen factory in the late 1970s, this is a Greco RB-700N and is modelled after the famous Rickenbacker 4001 bass guitar to a frightening level of detail and accuracy. If you've played one of these before, you'll know they're easily just as good, if not better, than some genuine 4001s costing many thousands more than these. With 2 piece maple wings attached to a beautifully crafted walnut and maple neck through construct, this bass emulates Rickenbacker's construction techniques with finesse and skillful craftsmanship whilst emitting some of Rickenbacker's common features such as a dual truss rod and "stereo" output option. This particular RB-700 also features checkerboard binding with a bound neck for extra style points.
The 3 piece neck has a very comfortable D shape profile with a moderate amount of heft to it, not feeling to thin or too thick in the hands. A full 34" scale length is present here with the lacquered rosewood fingerboard featuring pearloid shark fin inlays and single ply cream binding for a touch of class. Open gear tuners are smooth and have been serviced for exceptional operation and stability.
The pickups are typically wonderful sounding Maxons from the era with a nice, strong output and fantastic tone from thumping lows all the way to sparkly and clean top end frequencies. The wiring harness has been overhauled to feature full size CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack socket to ensure smooth, noise free playing.
The bass presents as mostly original, aside from the upgraded harness, a few replaced screws and a slightly modified pickguard. Condition wise, the bass presents as well loved but with plenty more to give; not short of a few dings, scratches and chips, this bass has obviously been well played but the frets have plenty of life left at about 80% (they appear low because of the thick lacquer these necks have from the factory) and the action is smooth and low and intonates perfectly. It's been professionally serviced and setup with 45-100s. Get yourself a killer bass for a fraction of the real thing!

We offer free Australia-wide shipping for orders over $200 via standard courier services. For smaller items such as small parts and screws, we send via Australia Post regular mail service. All items below $200 are a flat $8.99 shipping rate. Express services are also available at an extra cost, just select it at the checkout and we'll get your order out extra fast!
How long does shipping take?
It varies based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders for items that are in stock with our Lewisham store "135 New Canterbury Road, Lewisham 2049", are usually shipped same day, however items ordered from "Deep Tone Warehouse Supply" are special order items that are not stocked in the store. These items can take 2-4 business days to arrive to us from the supplier; from there, the item will be dispatched from our store and the nominated method of shipping will be followed:
For "Standard" shipping:
- VIC, SA and NSW: 2-4 days
- QLD: 3-5 days
- NT, WA and TAS: 5-10 days +
For "Express" shipping:
- VIC, SA and NSW: 1-2 days
- QLD: 1-2 days
- NT, WA and TAS: 1-3 days
