A classic copy from a classic brand, the Fernandes RB series was Fernandes' take on that famous brand that has an R and a B in their name. These basses are just as good, if not better than their USA counterparts! Depending on the model number, you got different features; some were bolt on, some were neck through. Some had single jacks, some had stereo. Some had two truss rods, some had one. This one is the deluxe daddy with stereo outputs, single truss rod and maple neck through construction with with maple wings, finished in a beautifully aged vintage white finish with cream binding. 

The 3 piece neck has a very comfortable D shape profile with a moderate amount of heft to it, not feeling to thin or too thick in the hands. A full 34" scale length is present here with the lacquered rosewood fingerboard featuring pearloid shark fin inlays and single ply cream binding for a touch of class. Open gear tuners are smooth and have been serviced for exceptional operation and stability.

The pickups are a factory loaded set of single coils, but don't let that fool you. These pickups pack some serious heft and have a thick and meaty tone that secures this bass as an absolute monster sounding instrument. With a wide spectrum of frequencies being pumped out, this bass sings whether you play finger style, with a pick, or with anything else for that matter. The bridge pickup in particular has a warmth and thickness to it that bridge pickups often lack, but not here! This bass also features the stereo output mode that some of these lack which is a super fun and interesting feature.

The bass presents as amost fully original, aside from an upgraded harness that we've loaded in as the bass had some modifications before arriving to us. We've loaded it with full size CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack on the mono output for reliable signal in any situation. The bass is not without wear and tear and has its fair share of dings, dents and chips (as well as a repositioned strap pin on the upper horn with some scars to show it). All things considered it is an excellent bass that's had a full professional overhaul and setup with 45-100s. This thing is ready to rip!
