A highly desirable model from Steinberger's more affordable Spirit division, the XT-2DB was originally manufactured in Korea in the early 2000s, before production moved to Indonesia and China in later years. This is a Korean made model, meaning the quality and specification is of a higher tier than it's more affordable later iterations, as well as featuring higher quality woods in the construction of the instruments. This XT-2DB is equipped with a host of features such as the DB-Tune system for instant and accurate drop tuning, Direct Pull tuners with an extremely smooth 40:1 tuning ratio and the rock solid DB bridge with steel saddles for exceptional stability and sustain. 

Featuring a 3 piece maple neck with a beautifully carved SlimTaper 60s neck profile and a full 34" scale, the playability of the neck is superb and any bass player who enjoys a slim, full scale neck will be right at home on this bass. The stock medium jumbo frets have a solid 95% life left with virtually no wear and the neck is perfectly straight with a functional truss rod.

The pickups are a set of factory loaded Select by EMG passive humbuckers; although not a typical EMG staple, these passive humbuckers have been well engineered to give an incredibly thick and full bass tone, whilst offering fantastic differentiation between the neck and bridge tones when selected individually. Packed with loads of mid and low-range bite, this pickups are suited to a wide range of styles and genres.

Fully serviced and setup with 45-100s DoubleBall strings, the bass is in fantastic condition for its age with a few dings, dents and scratches present, however all is honest wear and in keeping with the age of the instrument. It plays wonderfully with a nice, smooth action and perfect intonation. Comes with a branded Steinberger gig bag!
