Fresher FSC-28 Stratocaster First Generation
Made by Matsumoto Musical Instruments in the early 70s, this Fresher Strat is the first generation of lawsuit copies made by Matsumoto and sports what can only be described as the best damn Fender lawsuit logo in existence. It was so good that within 2 years they had to change it, so these are certainly a rare find. Being first generation there is a lot going on here that is not even remotely close to a Fender guitar - pressed tremolo block (not cast) with 4 mounting screws instead of 6, 2 ply instead of 3 ply guard, Les Paul style nut and thickly laminated Sen Asian Ash body. The neck profile is a hand carved V and is very 50s in style and comfort. Factory 3 way switch, small frets, big headstock, and that logo is so damn good we have to mention it again. If you're a fan of lawsuits this is as good as it gets.
Freshly set up with 10-46s, it's playing very comfortably indeed. The pots and socket were cooked af so we've installed a new set to keep your signal rock solid. The top horn has suffered a knock at some stage but it's purely aesthetic and poses no structural issue.
