A beautifully maintained, original example of the most famous FM synthesizer in the world, the Yamaha DX7 was immediately a classic synthesizer with its iconic FM sound, intuitive programmability with MIDI capability and its rock solid, tank-like construction. A favourite of popular bands of the 80s such as Depeche Mode, Beastie Boys and Herbie Hancock, the DX7 possessed a glassy, crisp and clear digital tone that stood in stark contrast to the analog, voltage controlled synthesizers of the time. This proved to be a sound that defined the decade of the 1980s.

This particular unit is in great condition - there are little signs of use at all and the unit is mostly free from any marks and scratches, aside from one of the side panels has taken a knock and chipped some of the plastic off the edge. We've just given it a service with a new 3V memory battery and a fresh set of factory presets. All buttons,sliders and programs work perfectly. Comes with a heavy duty road case, perfect for all your touring needs!
