Yamaha DX7
A beautifully maintained, original example of the most famous FM synthesizer in the world, the Yamaha DX7 was immediately a classic synthesizer with its iconic FM sound, intuitive programmability with MIDI capability and its rock solid, tank-like construction. A favourite of popular bands of the 80s such as Depeche Mode, Beastie Boys and Herbie Hancock, the DX7 possessed a glassy, crisp and clear digital tone that stood in stark contrast to the analog, voltage controlled synthesizers of the time. This proved to be a sound that defined the decade of the 1980s.
This particular unit is in very good condition - there are some light marks and scratches and one of the membrane buttons has a small hole in it (photographed), however the keybed seems as if it has barely been touched and all buttons and programs work perfectly. Please note this unit is 100V AC. Comes with a heavy duty road case for easy and safe transportation!
